Additionally, I uphold AHF policies and procedures to remain compliant.Having carried the above summarized roles and responsibilities,below are achievements so far;• With the ERP recently introduced, review and certification of payments, purchase orders, expense reports, month end reports, payment for processing via mobile money, and payroll and tax schedules has been streamlined, with the funds disbursement process having improved by 50%.• Introduction of mobile money to disperse funds led to a 60% reduction in accountability turnaround time.• Also Secured financial compliance of partner's grants valued at up to $200K USD.• And Risk related to Loss of funds has been minimized to under 5%.• With interventions like training staff and creating sops reduced number of qualified opinions in Audit.• Firm adherence to budget parameters has minimized overspending to just 5%, a stark contrast to a 30% average in previous years.• With good utilization and accurate reporting, resources (funding) has increased 10% annually.• Introduced controls that have led to 90% compliance to the organization policy.• With refocused allocation of funds have led to 85% linkage and retention rates among the clients.• Since being hired, the AHF finance department became independent.

I carried out financial functions including payment disbursement, reporting, and general processes, essential to participants and students experiencing the full benefits of the non-profit. Vital in retaining the services of educator was me preparing and managing financial actions such as advances, liquidations, and training allowances reimbursements. From this, teachers were compensated for services delivered and trainings completed. I continuously applied my knowledge of financial / accounting platforms, tools, and systems to maintain accurate reports, complete and submit forms for approval, pay / refund vendors, carry out bank reconciliations, as well as complete other duties. I strengthened the grants department having spearheaded TUSOME Grantee recruitment and development.Other roles include but not limited to;• Management of Staff advances and liquidations.• Prepare weekly Aging report status on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.• Train Tusome grantees on financial management in line with USAID rules and Regulations.• Preparing and submitting VAT refund (DA1) forms to USAID for approval.• Collecting approved from USAID VAT refund (DA1) forms from USAID and dispatching them to vendors for Refund.• Prepare and Process payments to vendors on straight to bank.• Prepare Cash Management Request in collaboration with the Finance manager.• Ensure all the above adhere to RTI Financial policies and procedures. • Post daily financial transactions in QuickBooks accounting system. Ensure relevant documents have been scanned and linked to the transaction.• Filing all payment vouchers on a monthly basis Specific outcomes include;• With an elevated command of financial processes, obligations, and systems, accurately coordinated bi-weekly payments to 100K+ teachers per quarter.• Trained and supervised 10+ grantees every quarter.. Accurate financial management of the program ensured continued funding by USAID and World Bank
