Unit Manager: Patient Care Unit 37 - Nephrology/TransplantAlberta Health Services Feb 2012 - Feb 2022Foothills Medical CentreResponsible for the round-the-clock operation of the inpatient nephrology/transplant unit. Accountabilities include professional development of staff, hiring & orientation of new staff, maintenance of clinical standards, performance management, quality, and patient safety, investigating safety concerns, and employee engagement. Also responsible for coordinating on-unit resources to accommodate safe and effective care for deceased-donor transplant recipients and live-related transplant recipients. Currently engaged in long term implementation of Accreditation Canada standards, and a multidisciplinary communication project with Patient Care Unit 37, Allied Health - Foothills Medical Centre, and the Division of Nephrology.
