In this role I oversee the safe and effective facilitation and regulation of contact between children of all ages, and birth family members they have been separated from through court proceedings and Children Services intervention. I am tasked with developing effective work relationships to advise, instruct, and communicate with individuals from a varied range of cultures, backgrounds, and social circumstances. The children and adults I regularly work with are generally trying to cope with a number of acute systemic issues that have prompted the need for Social Services intervention. This requires me to be well versed and skilled in employing mitigating Safeguarding practices I have been trained in, throughout the course of my normal working day. I also frequently contribute at meetings and legal settings as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team within the Permanance section of our organisation.Within a strict timeframe I complete thorough reports for each contact session I supervise, and can count having a sample of my reports being chosen and shared by my manager as an example of exemplary documenting.
