Archival research support and production of educational material for Hull Curriculum

Taken on as in Intern with the museum to support collections care and management and work on digital content. In particular I worked on reconciling aspects of the collection, which included re-packing and organising parts of the collections store. In addition I delivered and developed museum learning sessions for visiting schools. Digital content included elements of digital collecting, producing content for webpages, blogs and social media, and completion of a Collections Mapping Project exploring dispersed collections across Cornwall which had a link with the museum.

Covered the front desk welcoming visitors into the museum, providing them with information about what the museum offers, and answering any questions they might have.Carried out object handling with visitors in the museum with a range of different objects talking them through what the objects were, why they were significant, and talking through personal stories associated with the objects.

Recruited as a Researcher in early 2015 providing support across projects undertaken around the UK. Tasks included writing and managing surveys, inputting, collating, cleaning and analysing survey data in preparation for final reporting, gathering data and evidence from a wide range of sources to develop literature and evidence reviews and to inform economic impact assessments.Carried out these tasks across a portfolio of projects developing a focus on museums, heritage and culture sectors at local, regional and national levels. National research projects in these areas included work for Heritage Lottery Fund, the Association of Independent Museums, the Historic Houses Association, Department for Culture, Media and Sport, MALD, and Arts Council England.
