Led a team of 4 to construct a rover prototype that is built to rescue a pet in a well using a crane-like system that imitates the motion of a claw machine within a month time limitDesigned and constructed the claw to have the real-life motor functions to be able to retrieve a pet safely, applying certain engineering techniques to not only function properly, imitating a pulley system as well as robotic arm mechanisms.Presented at a symposium with 220+ students, faculty, and representatives from Turner Construction Company to showcase the project’s functions and explain its overall design process.

Contribute to the operations of this chapter’s high school outreach program, educating students about STEM or valuable knowledge about college education to a younger audience to reach a wider audience.Introducing the students to recognizing academic challenges to come forth while at the same time connecting them to viable resources they can encounter for their college journey.
