Within my current job I have to assist customers with their queries face to face or odd occasions via telephone, the queries can vary through complaints or product availability and help resolve the queries in an efficient manner. Some days I have stepped into a leadership role on several occasions to run the department and leading my peers to keep the department organised and running smoothly. This required me to be able to communicate to all levels of staff, because I could be communicating with other colleagues, line managers or the General store manager. I also have to often act using my initiative as retail sales patterns and customer requirements can change simply by the weather being hot or cold outside, it is at this point I must think strategically and push certain lines or promotions in favour of others depending on what could sell best. Asda empathy’s on team working environment with all departments being able to work on each sections and with each other to meet targets.
