Assistant Project Manager
CurrentDuties include:Complete all projects in accordance with the department specific process and procedures as defined in the project Management ManualDevelop and use AutoCad skills to improve project understandingAccountable and responsible for all quotes and purchases related to project dutiesAccountable and responsible for all shipping preparation and documentationHandling all aspects of the project from award (estimating handoff) to completion (delivery)Coordination of all project specific procedures/tasks/deliverablesCommunicating and collaborates project goals and expectations with all departments.Initiates and sets up the project specific execution plan and team kick-off meeting.Coordination of all project specific meetings, insuring all required personnel attendResponsible for all customer correspondence, verbal and written.Responsible for keeping Sales and Marketing updated on project deliverables.Evaluate project scope as it compares to project estimate on a weekly basis and update the Estimating department accordingly on internal/external change orders.Review project financials, update project WIP, project Expense report and report out during the Weekly project update meetings.Maintains project logs and record managementResponsible for setting and posting what project success looks like, Project plan, and scheduleDevelop and maintain the project specific master schedule and manpower loading projecting hours required to finish using input from the shop supervisor and the efficiency reportDevelop and maintain the project logFacilitate project specific job releasesResponsible for completion of the project specific progress reports and provide to the customer as well as the MIW sales representativeCommunicate with the Accounting department to ensure invoicing lines up with the milestone schedule and/or the invoicing scheduleSchedule barge logistics for projects that require barging
