Neutrino physics in the P-2 division at LANL. Analysis and instrumentation development for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment at Fermilab.

Install preamplifiers into the detector apparatus at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Perform maintenance, repairing, troubleshooting, and verification using root cause analysis. Execute electronic testing and calibrate sensitivity thresholds using Python and Raspberry Pi. Interface with various technical disciplines to test and troubleshoot detector electronics. Summarize and report calibration and performance of electronics.

Planned and executed the fabrication of 5,000+ preamplifiers for the Muon-to-Electron Conversion Experiment at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL). Operate and manage vacuum chambers and solder stations. Trained in operating a parylene deposition system in a class 100 cleanroom to coat the preamplifiers with a dielectric film. Train undergraduates on detail oriented tasks such parylene deposition and soldering. Reach deadlines through consistent communication and daily goal setting. Over 10x speedup in processing tasks, continuously expediting steps with an emphasis on quality.

Investigated non-local spin transport as a new method to probe quantum phenomena in condensed matter systems. Assisted graduate students in the design and assembly of a measurement probe for a project provided by Physics Innovators Initiative (Pi2) at UC Berkeley. Calculated probe dimensions and material to ensure compatibility for a cryogenic Physical Property Measurement System. Synthesized an antiferromagnetic insulator, FePS3, in the materials division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Assembled and tested the measurement probe to study the magnetic properties of this new material by varying temperature and external magnetic field. Performed data visualization and analysis of magnetic susceptibility of FePS3. Verified these results match theoretical magnetic susceptibility of antiferromagnets. Observed characteristics of non-local spin transport and presented these findings in a poster presentation.

Utilized databases such as Capitaliq, EDGAR, and BamSEC to track the financial evolution of a company over its lifetime to spot and track good investment. Cross referenced financial statements and reports from investment firms such as Morgan Stanley to gauge investor sentiment. Developed a report and presented my findings on the financial evolution of IonQ, Inc. (NYSE: IONQ).

Wall Street Bound offered an informational boot camp to those curious about careers in Wall Street. The Introduction to Wall Street provided participants with the opportunity to connect with one another as well as develop a future plan to ensure success in this field. This program not only connected us with local peers and professionals but those from the East Coast as well.

Simulated particle collision events using A Common Tracking Software (ACTS) to reconfigure particle collision tracks. Performed visual representations and statistical analysis on various physical properties (i.e., energy, momentum, position) using python. Verified a particular algorithm (Kalman filter) is implemented correctly in the ACTS simulation by comparing theoretical and measured transverse momentum resolution. Observed a discrepancy in the theoretical and measured data and presented my findings to the research group on a weekly basis.

Developed a mission proposal from start to finish with a virtual team. Each team member had a role, mine being one of the three scientists. Collaborated with NASA scientists and engineers that gave insight into the qualities a successful team and individual have and how to strengthen these qualities.

Researched existing technologies at the vanguard of in-situ resource utilization, compared these existing technologies to determine their practicality for use in future NASA missions. Invited to Johnson Space Center(JSC) to compete in a mock Mars rover competition. Mentored by an employee at JSC while competing against other teams to win a NASA contract for our made up company.
