I completed my graduate studies for a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Design and Manufacturing at the University of California Davis. My Master's research, in conjunction with the Veterinary Orthopedic Research Laboratory, focused on the introductory study of surface roughness and abrasive finishing techniques on 3D printed PEEK parts used in medical implants. I have worked for the past 2 years during my summer breaks at Los Alamos National Lab as an R&D Engineer with the E-1 division, with 4 years of prior work as a student researcher. I have worked in designing, testing, and implementation of a multitude of engineering projects ranging from pneumatic lifting devices to plutonium sintering chambers. I am proficient in MATLAB, Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Arduino, LabView and have been familiar with other analysis and design software. I am proficient as a leader, with experience leading multiple small scale projects as a Mentor for student researchers within my group. As well, I have experience in leading the NMSU chapter of ASME as both President and Vice President, in which I lead and organized a group of 40 students through multiple fundraising activities, outreach events, and design competitions.No matter how small or large a challenge may be, I will always take it head on. For without challenge, there is no progress.
