I am currently an Assistant Teaching Professor of Business Communication at Carnegie Mellon University. I was previously a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Trained in rhetoric and composition, my research interests include rhetorical ecologies, Hoodoo, Black religions and spiritualities, identity formation and self-actualization, ecowomanism, and autoethnography. My pedagogical practice includes autoethnographic, rhetorical, and speculative approaches to build sensible and timely communication design through the expressions of students' personal, professional, and inner identities, and to create accessible ecologies for sustainable futures. I also serve on the Academics committee for the ZORA! Festival of the Arts and Humanities.
