Served as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for multiple DHS systems in support of the Authority to Operate Certification (ATO). Wrote and maintained security documentation at all phases of the security documentation process to include updating 800-53 Rev. 3 documentation to Rev. 4. Incorporated DHS system specific controls into IACS and maintained assets list in Continuum. Ran daily Nessus scans to manage IAVA’s and report to DHS status of vulnerabilities. Maintained documentation and continuous monitoring of POAMS in IACS. Provided weekly summaries on current progress of issues to DHS management. Coordinated meetings for disaster recovery. Worked with engineering team to create auditing to comply with auditing requirements. Reviewed audit logs for compliance as an ISSO responsibility.
