Serve as an Advance Leader Course (ALC)/ Senior Leader Course (SLC) Instructor and Instructor Supervisor for the Department of Defense Fire Academy in an Inter-service Training Review Organization (ITRO); administers International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC); accredited Fire Officer II/III/IV course of instruction; plans, schedules, and supervises 160 training hours per class; counsels Soldiers, Airmen, Marines and Sailors (SAMS) on professional matters; recommends academic and administrative actions; administer tests in accordance with accreditation requirements; provides special individual assistance (SIA) to students when required; maintains student records; responsible for $2.5 million of training aid and equipment.

Create an environment free of discrimination and harassment, and address allegations of improper discriminatory conduct. Implement EO policies and develop initiatives, such as training, to proactively combat discrimination. Assist in investigations of discrimination and/or sexual harassment and racial incidents. Conduct community relations work.

Master Resilience Trainer (MRT) entry-level trainer responsible for resilience and performance enhancement training for small groups of 25 to 30 personnel in the Unit/Army Community Service (ACS) Center and community. MRTs are advisors to the Commander on mandatory Comprehensive Soldier Family Fitness (CSF2) compliance requirements and best practices.

Served as a Fire Instructor; instructed and administered International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) accredited Aircraft Firefighter Operations (AFFO) Course of instruction. Planned, scheduled, and supervised 90.5 hours per class. Counseled Soldiers, Airman, Marines, Sailors (SAMS) on professionalism and personal matters. Recommended academic and administrative actions to block supervisor. Administered examinations in accordance with accreditation requirements. Provided Specialized Individual Assistance (SIA) to SAMS when required. Played a key role in maintaining equipment, training aids, and fire apparatus valued at $15,797,720.

Performed duties as Fire Team Chief/Battalion Chief; responsible for the health, welfare, morale, safety, training and NCO development of 35 Soldiers. Provided crash rescue and fire protection to area of operation. Oversaw training drills for teams to determine individual and team firefighting proficiency. Developed pre fire plans and standard operating procedures for 35 Soldiers. Executed command and control over crash rescue, motor vehicle accidents and structural fire ground operations. Provided technical guidance and made recommendations on operational issues to 218 military and civilian firefighters. Maintained duty schedules and tracked training for 5 assigned fire stations. Was responsible for property in excess of $700,000.

Performed duties as a Fire Officer/Crash Rescue Sergeant/Lead Firefighter; responsible for the health, welfare, morale, safety, counseling and training of 56 Soldiers. Provided fire protection, suppression, and rescue to 28 fire stations. Oversaw training for crash rescue teams and monitored team member proficiency. Directed rescue operations and extinguishment for rotary aircraft, motor vehicles, and structural fires. Was accountable for the service and maintenance of property valued in excess of $4,381,250.

Responsible for protecting lives and property from fire. Controlled fires and helped prevent them in buildings, aircraft, and vehicles. Performed rescue and firefighting operations during structural fires, aircraft crashes, vehicle emergencies and natural cover fires. Drove firefighting trucks and emergency rescue vehicles. Gave first aid to injured personnel. Performed emergency response duties during hazardous materials incidents. Inspected aircraft, buildings and equipment for fire hazards. Taught fire protection procedures and repaired/refilled firefighting equipment. Spent 13 weeks and 1 day of Apprentice Course training at Goodfellow Air Force Base, TX from Feb 2009-July 2009. Part of this time was spent in the classroom, the other was spent outside, to include practicing in live fire training.

Received, inspected, inventoried, loaded/unloaded, stored, issued, and delivered supplies and equipment. Maintained automated supply systems for accounting of organizational and installation supplies and equipment. Issued and received small arms. Secured and controlled weapons and ammunition in secure areas. Scheduled and performed preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons. Operated unit-level computers. Required 8 weeks of on-the job instruction. Part of this time is spent in the classroom, and part takes place in the field, including practice in handling and storing stock.
