Led a project developing a cell culture model to test the effect of UV radiation on skin in collaboration with Walgreens Boots Alliance.Led a project developing a 3D cell culture (spheroid) model of the human hair follicle to test growth promoting compounds in collaboration with Unilever. Co-supervised a PhD student and supervised a lab technician.

Set up a cell biology laboratory, developed collaborations with local clinicians to obtain tissue for research. Optimised culture conditions for differentiating dental pulp stem cells into bone, cartilage and adipose. Co-supervised a PhD student.

Developed a cell potency assay to assess the alignment of secreted collagen in vitro. Used commercially available cell potency assays to test cell contraction and collagen deposition in response to small molecule drugs and biologics which targeted the TGF-beta pathway. Reviewed literature of anti-scarring compounds and helped design in-vivo studies to test efficacy.
