Working with the Marketing & Development teams to manage client websites, run email campaigns and manage SEO & Google Adwords.Working with the Development team to build and test new client sites.

I started working at The Archer at the age of 16 as a glass collector, moving on to bar work at age 18. Over my time there I have been able to improve upon my communication skills by interacting with the customers, regulars and strangers alike. I advanced from working with other members of staff to being entrusted to cover shifts on my own. Additional responsibilities include helping to maintain the cellar, changing barrels, restocking and balancing the tills.

While working at Glass Installations Ltd I was responsible for performing quality control on the stock which arrives at the company as well as the products produced by the company. I ensured that the stock was separated according to the project it was to be used in.Before the product can be sent for installation I had to prepare it, whether that was by adding safety backing to the mirrors or mounting the mirrors in aluminium framing. We also produce lightweight mirrors using Mylar film and these have been installed in exhibitions and film sets, as well as being used for portable mirrors in dance studios.I have also accompanied engineers on installations to aid with the fitting of the finished product and ensuring it is to the customers liking.

My time with JP Web Solutions gave me an insight into how the customer requirements have to be translated to the development team and also vice versa, the various forms of communication available and the need to use whichever is best for the topic being discussed - or the person it is being discussed with. It also gave me an appreciation of the different levels of technical knowledge and improved my ability to communicate technical information in a non-technical mannerThe role also involved a large amount of project, time and capital management - liaising with the sales, development and finance teams to ensure deadlines were met, customers were invoiced correctly and the sales records were maintained. To clarify and track all these instances I developed a basic Excel spreadsheet which is still in use today.

I started working at the New Victoria Theatre as a part time employee whilst I was in education. During my time there I used skills I had gained from working at the New Smithy Inn, such as customer interaction, stock and money management.
