Christopher R. Russo, M.D., believes in a multidisciplinary approach to pain management with special emphasis on interventional pain techniques. His goals are to provide symptomatic pain relief, enhanced functioning, minimization of opioid requirements and improved quality of life for each and every one of his patients. He feels that pain should be treated as a matter of fact, and not a matter of fault. Dr. Christopher R. Russo received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in Cellular and Molecular Biology. He attended the University of Michigan Medical School where he received his Doctor of Medicine. This was followed by an internship at the Blodgett Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Russo went on to complete his residency training with the University of Michigan Department of Anesthesiology. Following his residency training, Dr. Russo completed a two-year Pain Medicine Fellowship with the University of South Florida Department of Neurology. This was followed by Post-Fellowship training in Advanced Interventional Pain Techniques at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Russo is an expert in all aspects of pain medicine. He has special interest in spinal cord and occipital nerve stimulation, trigeminal nerve disorders, vertebral compression fractures, Radiofrequency Ablation and chemical dependency. Dr. Russo grew up in Ann Arbor. He enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering.
