It is a very high pace working environment with deadlines to meet and efficiency being imperative to ensure customer needs are met. This role is giving me a great deal of experience for accuracy, time management and skill for various computer programs and machinery.

I have recently spent time in Portugal, working and assisting in the running of a hostel. Making use of skills I obtained in relation to me experience at Stepping Stones. Responsible for the guest experience, accounts, finances, bookings and upkeep of the business.

I spent 6 months developing a community project called "The U", an initiative started up by an organisation called "The Young Foundation". The main aim of The U was to increase a sense of community in Maidstone through educating members of the community on key life skills such as first aid, networking, conflict resolution and practising positivity. My responsibilities were vast, including; creating awareness of the project through various different marketing techniques, setting up and running the sessions, organising people (attendees, hosts and other key players aiding the project) and carrying out an assessment of the projects overall outcomes.

A work experience placement where I worked on obtaining funding for a dinosaur exhibition through researching funding streams and composing proposals.

This is a business I started with a friend, which is now up and running in Maidstone (95A Week Street). The business is an art gallery/café. My role at the studio was company secretary and bar manager. Starting up this business gave me a great insight into all of the various aspects of how to set up and run a small business.
