I report to the Dean of the College of Health Sciences (COHS) and am a member of the College of Health Sciences Leadership Team. I am responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the vision, strategic plan, and policies to guide the College’s research and innovation goals/outcomes. I work closely and collaboratively with faculty, School Chairs, and staff. I provide leadership to the research and innovation arm of the COHS and I am responsible for increasing sponsored research, encouraging, and supporting COHS investigators, facilitating multidisciplinary projects, seeking out new sources of funding, connecting the Schools and Colleges in innovative and creative ways for success in the research funding space, and overseeing the ethical, informed, and safe conduct of research. In addition to my research administration responsibilities, I maintain an active and funded line of research. My research lies at the intersection of neuromotor control and advanced technology to address human health challenges. To this end, my team has been funded by the NIH, DoD, US Navy, HRSA, NIOSH, Women's Football Foundation, and 4-VA to explore solutions related to falls in older adults, concussions, service member health, occupational health, and child physical activity and nutrition.
