Researcher at the University of Louisville, in the field of autonomous robotics. My work included perception and planning for fully autonomous control of mobile robots which perform manipulation tasks, and human/robot interaction with a focus on intervention for cost optimizations. My background includes a foundation in combinatoric algorithms and machine learning, and work across robotic manipulation, mobile navigation, automated planning, and computer vision. My aim was to develop robust, efficient algorithms for solving real-world problems by applying diverse strategies drawn from principles-based design and eschewing the incremental progress model in favor of objective driven development.Duties included:- Perform research investigating the application of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence tasks to implementation of effective robotic control systems in the context of human-robot interaction systems, with a focus on applying AI and Machine learning to Human/Robot interaction and Autonomous Manipulation- Develop software for both implementation and research cases of topics relating to scientific programs within the lab, including Sensorization, Automated Planning, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Autonomous Manipulation assets- Management of robotics laboratory spaces, including purchasing, organization, equipment maintenance, and inventory management for supplies and research articles.- Contribute to group development through the evaluation and peer review of other students' research via presentations, and present results of personal research in professional contexts for same.- Directing undergraduate and master's students in performance of research and development-related tasks.- Generate papers for publication detailing research performed with the lab, and contribute documentation, data, and assets to the group scientific base.

Work as a general repair technician and equipment designer for Centre College's Art department. I fix aging equipment, (including trouble shooting forced air gas burners, electric kilns, electric potters wheels, etc...) and perform duties assigned such as building furniture, storage solutions, etc. I also design and build new equipment, ranging from tables and mounting brackets to electronic safety shutoff valves for pilot lights and kiln lid pulley systems.

Work on the same research project as previous summer, with the exception that this year, my duties shifted from python programming to MATLAB programming.

Worked as a summer research assistant to Dr. Jim Kelly at the Centre College Physics Department. Research was on the modeling of Snow Crystal growth with Cellular Automata. Particular tasks I performed included coding graphical representation programs in python and general code debugging.
