Supervise and manage the operations of the Administrative Services to include records, property, supply, and budget functions. Prepare and administrator the annual operating budget and prepare detailed reports. Oversee the specialized and in-house training activities of the department.

Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of general investigations to include youth services, victim advocates, narcotics, vice and organized crime. Manages the integrity of the department in relation to evidence collection and storage, confidential informants and funders, and seized monies and property. Manages the day-to-day operations of the mental health task force to include at risk, homeless, mental health, and overdoses.

Screened applicants as well as conducted background investigations for applicants moving forward in the hiring process. Investigated all complaints that are filed internally as well as externally for the police department. Managed the mentoring and recruitment teams to ensure quality control.

Managed patrol personnel and their direct supervisors and acted as a liaison between subordinates and command staff. Mentored newly promoted sergeants as well as trained all new leaders assigned to precinct two. Participated in planning and development meetings for events such as the Christmas Parade, Blessing of the Fleet, and Cooper River Bridge Run.

Supervised the department’s accreditation officer to insure we maintained the gold standard. Handled all public information requests for the police department as well as managed the police departments social media accounts. Prepared statistical reports and data requests that were requested by the public as well as the command staff.

Directed and supervised a uniform patrol team and responded to serious incidents within the town. Volunteered to take on additional duties with the harbor unit to include expanding it with more operators as well as securing a grant for the safe boat. Identified crime trends related to my area of accountability and developed a proactive approach.

Established a team training schedule and supervised the FTO’s as they develop areas that the team needed to focus on. Coordinated team community service events such as collecting school supplies for the local elementary school (Fill the Cruiser), supporting Wounded Warrior, and National Pet Adoption Day. Directly followed the leadership of my sergeant and learned what the first line of supervision entailed and set the example of leading from the front.

Drafted the schedule for the new trainees entering the FTO program and made adjustments as needed based on the trainee’s needs. Trained new recruits and kept the training Sergeants updated on the progress of all trainees. Became an explorer advisor for the Mount Pleasant Police Department and assisted in the training process of the cadets.

Drafted and carried out the operations plan for the Blessing of the Fleet and the 4th of July Celebration for 2014. Volunteered for the position as ALPR administrator for the Mount Pleasant Police Department and coordinated getting equipment free of charge for the department to use from SLED. Tracked collision data and focused on areas that were having an increase in collisions, especially fatalities, and came up with ideas to reduce those numbers. Investigated cases related to traffic fatalities.

Compiled data from District 4 for Team Sergeant and drafted the monthly report for the Ace Meeting. Worked in areas of the town that were having an increase in crime to help lower the crime rate and build a better relationship with the citizens. Took a proactive approach to crime by taking a bicycle class and saturating areas that needed an increase in officer presence.
