As a Senior Referee, when time allows I also mentor Newly Qualified Referees within Cheshire FA by attending their games, and offering individual professional advice and support, in helping to develop their performance and future development.

When not at sea I am a Level 4 Supply League football referee, affiliated to Cheshire FA, officiating in local, district, county and regional matches. I was also a member of Cheshire FA’s CORE Referees Academy from 2017-18 season until last season. My career so far has seen me officiate at Old Trafford with Manchester United Soccer Schools, and three times selected for the English International Super Cup (2016, 17 and 18). I have also officiated in both the men’s and women’s FA Cup in the 2022/23 season. Leagues I officiate in: Cheshire Football League, North West Under 21 Development League, Liverpool County Premier League, North West Counties Football League, Timperley and District Junior Football League, North West Youth Football Alliance, Altrincham Amateur District League, Premier League Development League U18, Northern Premier League, Women’s National League

Senior Officer of the Watch as part of a dual watchkeeper Bridge team. Responsible for the updating, ordering and maintenance of ENC/ARCS/Paper Charts, Sailing Directions, ADP Publications, and ADC. Mooring line inspections, Lifeboats and Liferaft davit inspections, and Deck Chemical lists. I also maintain the Ship's Certificate folder, and perform training and assessments for Seamen being issued with or renewing their Navigational Watch rating Certificate, in accordance with Flag State. Also maintaining the ship's Official Log Book and Deck Log Book, in conjunction with the Master. Assisting the Voyage Planning Officer with future cruise planning, leading Voyage Overviews and Nautical Meetings. Assisting the Bridge Team for refit preparation, having been involved in 3 dry docks thus far.

In this position, I served as the Junior Officer of the Watch, alongside a Senior OOW as part of a dual person watch routine. My jobs, aside from the safe navigation of the ship, included maintenance of LSA and FFA, GMDSS, mooring, tender and anchor operations, Navigational Voyage Planning assisting and schedules, conducting safety rounds of the vessel and ensuring safe practices are being carried out at all times, as well as passenger orientated trivia. I served onboard MV Aurora, MV Queen Elizabeth, MV Ventura, RMS Queen Mary 2 and MV Oriana in the capacity of Third Officer.I obtained my Chief Mates Unlimited licence on the 29th February 2016. I am a hard working, proactive, dilligent and reliable Officer; a good team player upon total reliance to perform a task can be placed. I enjoy working as a team, and I thrive under pressure. I am always striving to learn more, and relish the fact that my job comes with a lot of responsibility; it is a highly rewarding position.

Training to be a qualified Deck Officer in the Merchant Navy.Served onboard MV Azura (including her maiden voyage and first 4 months in service with P&O Cruises), MV Arcadia (including her Alaskan Grand Voyage 2011) and MV Adonia, where I had the pleasure of being a member of the Ship’s Company that embarked on her maiden South American Grand Voyage. I passed my MCA OOW exam at the Port of Tyne Office on 29th August 2012.
