Valve Train Systems Senior Development & Releasing EngineerI was responsible for successful delivery of a critical and complex sub-system in to a number of Ford's global engines including the three time International Engine of the Year 1.0l ecoboost engine.Among my high profile projects, I delivered sign off and launch of key cylinder deactivation technology for the Fiesta ST 1.5l 3 cylinder engine. The first production application of cylinder deactivation in to a 3 cylinder engine.I led cross functional teams of internal and external engineers. Ensuring on time robust delivery of complex sign offs, for example, obtaining priority development and manufacturing focus from internal and external suppliers where necessary.

Utilising MS Access and VBA, I designed, developed and implemented a number of ground up new business systems at an SME Manufacturing client. Most notably a major Process Control System which automatically created Process Control Cards for each order. The system provided a new stock requisitioning, process routing and quality control system, linked automatically to the incumbent SAGE sales system. Following implementation, the improvement in quality control was directly linked to a material improvement in customer satisfaction ratings.
