I started my career in business in college as a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman for Electrolux, Over the course of 4 years I knocked on thousands of doors and won many awards. I helped hire and train other college students for our office then over 100 one summer as the College Coordinator for the region. Eventually, while still in college I was made the manager of their Stamford, CT flagship branch.Not envisioning a life long career as a door-to-door salesman I founded New England Energy Management with a friend from school. The mission of our firm was to help commercial and industrial facilities to reduce their electrical demands by selling and installing more efficient products with a particular focus on lighting.Finally, I found my passion in the investment industry and was fortunate to be hired and trained by Fidelity Investments. I was then even more fortunate to be hired by a tiny firm in California with only $2 Billion in AUM but with a goal of becoming much bigger and disrupting the industry - Fisher Investments. For over 2 decades I helped with direct sales to HNW clients along with holding various sales management roles for the Northeast and Canada.Now it is time to move on to something new. Aside from Connecticut I am a Permanent Resident of New Zealand with a home in Auckland. Thus, I am also able to work in New Zealand and Australia. I am a Registered Investment Advisor (Series 65) in the USA and have completed all necessary courses and tests in NZ to be an Authorized Investment Advisor - though I have not yet worked in that capacity. Given my broad business experience, strong interpersonal, organizational, sales, sales management and marketing skills I could be valuable to a firm either within or outside of the investment industry. i would consider becoming part of senior management or sales management for a firm that was looking to scale up its operations or sales force. I would also consider assisting a firm launch or expand their business within New Zealand or Australia.Aside from my business interests I enjoy sailing, golf and skiing and international travel with my wife.
