Responsible for managing and administering the GAO Asset Management application. Additional tasks include the implementation and enforcement of Asset Management processes, policies and standards, work instructions, and activities in compliance with the GAO established framework.Provide management, procurement, tracking, and provisioning for the Government’s hardware, software, and service (other IT-related, systems access, etc.) assets to include licensing. Ensure all asset management reports are electronically available for review by GAO as needed. GAO must have the capability to generate and query reports. If/where practical, GAO request managed services support versus contract personnel to support the asset management areas of O&M. Update, maintain, and administer IT-specific assets in accordance with GAO processes and regulations using the approved asset tracking system. Update GAO’s asset management system with key customer information to include customers name, location, purpose of use, etc. and maintain a record of approximately 21,000 IT assets. Immediately report all losses of IT devices or electronic media to GAO according to standard procedures. Apply common best practices for the industry to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages. Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components, and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed.Participate in strategy sessions, strategic assessments and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products, such as ERP implementations coordinating the resolution of highly complex problems and tasks.
