I thrive and enjoy working in an environment that is constantly changing, working as part of a team or independently. My career with local government has taught me that I must not only consider differing points of view but also the political point of view. Striking a balance and interpreting laws and situations that allow me to serve the public but also keep the best interest of the City in mind brings with it a sense of satisfaction. I have also discovered that government employees have just as much drama in their lives as their private sector counter-parts. Dealing with employee associations through union negotiations and personnel actions are always challenging at best; however, I do realize that people make the organization and that actions and words do impact morale and productivity. There are times to be blunt and times to lend a sympathetic ear.I want to work for an organization that not only cares about their bottom line but also the people that work for them and the customers that they serve. In turn, I want to make a difference for an organization where I can use my skills and talents for solving problems by creating solutions. I want to be part of a team that has a great reputation for treating their employees fairly. As a Senior Redevelopment Projects Coordinator, I perform a number of duties consisting of overseeing a $47 million dollar budget, Federal grant management and management and supervision of the City's Code Enforcement Division. To sum it all up, I perform financial, personnel, project, and customer service management in my current position. I have excellent writing, organizational and people skills that I use on a daily basis to communicate and resolve issues.
Listed skills include Government, Policy, Customer Service, Grants, and 15 others.
