As the Director of Emergency Management for Putnam County, I am responsible for countywide emergency preparation and management; response coordination, disaster assistance, and recovery; and oversight of public emergency preparedness, education, and emergency logistics. • Overall administration of County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP)• Coordination with local municipality, county, and state, non-governmental, private partners and FEMA• Coordination with educational institutions/emergency response plans • Coordination with National Weather Service and NOAA• Serve as Intelligence Liaison Officer (ILO) for NYS DHSES - Counterterrorism• Responsible for Domestic Terrorism & Threat Management Planning • Oversight on Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan• Management of Countywide Emergency Operations Center (EOC)• Coordinate Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) activities• Coordinate and facilitate Interoperability and Emergency Communications• Maintain and Review Emergency Action Plans for Dams• Mass Gathering Planning and Preparedness• Execution and oversight of Emergency Alerting (WEA, IPAWS)
