Website: www.scantime.co.ukI began my career in working with PLCs at the early age of 15 years old where i attended PLC training courses in the holiday periods away from school with the help of my dad and his company, Scantime.Initially working with Mitsubishi PLCs, i continued my professional development for a further 3 years, gaining experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley and Omron PLCs while completing my HNC and HND in Mechatronics through Newcastle College.At 18 years old, i started working alongside my dad and other engineers in Scantime on the shop-floor and assisted in installing and commissioning automation systems for the Aviation, Aerospace and Oil & Gas industries using various PLCs and HMI/SCADA applications throughout.I now work as a Controls Engineer for Scantime as well as a Training Instructor at our Automation Centre, allowing me to step off of the shop-floor and provide my experience of 9 years in working with PLCs to engineers and individuals who attend our courses to further their own learning development.I still have a long way to go, but with my current skill set, i'm on the right path.
