• Manage multiple hospitals in the Baltimore Metro area with recoveries on overpayment claims • Trained in using new hospital systems including EPIC at multiple locations• Process recovery on claims that has been overpaid, due to change in billing, termination of benefits, and COB• Responsible for investigating, recovering and resolving all claims types as well as recovery and resolution for health plans, commercial customers and government entities• Initiate telephone calls to members, providers and other health insurance companies to gather Coordination of Benefits data• Investigate and pursue recoveries and payables on subrogation claims• Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies and contract compliance

• Assure plans of correction for Quality Assurance reviews are completed and followed through• Assist management team to address and correct to identify problems• Track all Quality Assurance reviews, monitoring for trends, identifying training needs and monitoring plans of correction• Monitor compliance with department policies and procedures and report concerns to management

• Maintain protection of patient privacy under the HIPAA Regulations• Reading EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) to determine patient deductible, co-pay, and co-insurance• Maintain general ledger, prepare journal entries, and account reconciliations as required to accurately close the monthly fiscal period• Prepare monthly reconciliation for all balance sheet accounts, including documentation to support all balances• Reconciles daily batch tapes to total• Balance cash, investigate and corrects transaction• Investigate and correct unapplied cash transactions• Calculate interest to its correct general ledger account• Process incoming EFTs (Wire Transfers)• Use MEDITECH software for entering and locating patient information• Use ONBASE software for locating information. ONBASE is our document imaging system• Post all remit payments and contractual adjustments from daily lockboxes• Work with multiple health insurance companies to ensure claims has been paid within stated contract timeframe and proper payment has been applied
