Operate MVS mainframe computer and peripheral equipment according to established procedures and guidelines. Responsible for monitoring system console for any error or action messages. Communicate with Management Information Systems ( MIS ) Data Coordinator in processing of scheduled production and test applications. Respond to end user inquiries concerning status of terminals and printers. Update operations run instructions with any changes that may have occurred during shift. Responsible for operations and maintenance of IBM 3890 Micro check sorter. Monitor control terminal for any required action. Required to cover for 2nd shift during scheduled and nonscheduled absences.
