Christopher So is currently a Materials Research Scientist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory working in the area of bioinspired underwater adhesives and designer peptides for chemical operations in extreme environments. He has also worked in the areas of marine biofouling and surface biochemistry. In 2012 he completed his Ph.D. in materials science and nanotechnology from the University of Washington where he focused on understanding the self-assembly of peptide nanostructures and their sequence-dependent formation on surfaces. He also received a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Washington. Previously, Chris was a contractor and research intern with NASA Ames Research Center at the Center for Nanotechnology studying carbon nanomaterials. Dr. So has co-authored over 35 peer-reviewed publications (1200+ citations), 2 patents, and given over 40 technical presentations at international conferences.Publication list:http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=UovjsBAAAAAJ&hl=en
