My career in the financial industry began as a Branch Capture operator, which at the time included both the operating of a proof machine as well a Sort Capture machine for the imaging and sorting of all in house and transit items. Over the years my on the job training and opportunities led me into the field of Information Technology, to include basic PC repair and troubleshooting issues as well as the implementation and administration of antivirus software and other platforms, as needed. I've been able to develop a working knowledge of Active Directory and an understanding of Group Policy in the use of network administration. I am quite familiar as well with products produced by Fiserv, to include primarily Premier Navigator and Director, and worked on both platforms when they were maintained both In-House and later Outsourced. Over the course of the last several years, I have also begun to develop a strong knowledge in the preparation of documentation requested for annual It Audits as required by financial regulation, as well as the participation in conducting these Audits with our external audit firm. (to include walk-throughs, on site discussions and exit interviews) I have also developed a strong, working knowledge of conducting risk assessments and reviewing Information Security policies on an annual basis and revising those policies should such revisions be required by subsequent Audits and Examinations. This work in recent years has leaned quite heavily towards the growing need for addressing cyber security concerns, as such I have also become familiar with the FFIEC's Cyber Security Tool and have worked with it in connection with all other work regarding Information Security, Disaster Recovery Protocol and Risk Assessments.Outside of the financial industry, I am also a published author of several works of creative fiction. My first novel was published on November 4th, 2020 and I have successfully published numerous works since. To date, I have 5 published books (novels and novellas) along with a handful of submissions published in various charity anthologies. I continue to pursue this separate career path while simultaneously maintaining my position at Community Bank of Snyder.
