Assist in a wide variety of departmental flow support procedures. • Provide organization and a systematic approach to workflow. • Assist technologists with patient care duties to include the proper identification of patients, escorting patients to and from clinical care areas, starting an intravenous access line and assisting patients with any requests. • Full working knowledge of equipment table controls and accessories to allow for proper exam set up and patient positioning. • Performs functions in the Radiology Information System (RIS) to include scheduling exams, order entry, modifying orders, ending procedures, reviewing prior exam history and reports and other associated tasks. • Performs functions in PACS to include retrieval of prior exams, scanning all associated paperwork into the system and producing CDS of imaging exams when requested. • Assist radiologists with overall workflow to make the interpretation process more effective and the radiologist more productive.• Manage the accurate and timely processing of weekly vendor invoices. Responsibilities included verifying insurances and obtaining insurance authorizations for patients when required, front desk check in and check out duties, collection of co-payments, handling of medical records, and daily incoming and outgoing office correspondences.
