Junior Utility Surveyor
CurrentConducting geotechnical surveys at sites across the UK using GSSI Ground Penetrating Radar and Radiodetection RD8200 + TX10-B electromagnetic locators to collect data, as well as using Leica GPS to collect coordinates/ points. Survey data is then post-processed using Radan for GPR data and N4ce for GPS points before being imported into BricsCAD where a 2D schematic of the site is produced at the client's request using the data collected on site. Each job is then finished up with a report which outlines the results of the survey and is then sent to the client. Other duties include assisting with tendering for jobs and updates to report templates and other ad hoc/ administration related tasks when not on site.
