I code and supportprograms written in 4gl every day, including nightly and weekend support of our dailyprocessing. We currently use Informix 4gl programs for all of our backend processing. Recently we have added programs to automate our ordering processes. Twice a day we nowrun Informix 4gl programs that will automatically cut orders for Menards based on ourcurrent on hands and order points. These programs also cut orders based on how muchproduct can be placed on a truck. Aside from that we are always supporting our nightlyand weekend processing that all run on Informix 4gl programs to basically sum up all ofthe day's sales and pass them along to our Data Warehouse departmentVisual Basic 6 The other half of the day I spend working on our Front End Visual Basic 6 applications. The programs I support and write are currently used by our Buying Staff to write andmaintain purchase orders.A recent project in VB6 that I am working on is a conversion of our VB6 applications toVB 2008. As part of this project we are starting to rewrite our current in house DLL'sand VB6 projects.EDI Mapping and Translation ToolsI also spend about one to two days a week working with the Inovis and IPNet EDI clients. I am the head programmer in our EDI department and I also update and support our EDIprocessing which is all written in DOS Batch files.With this I have headed our EDI upgrade processes and am starting another upgrade to ourInovis Client.The last time I have really worked with any of the other languages listed above was inschool back in 2003 and 2004.
