Tshono Investment is an investment holding company started in 2015, with a vision to build value in the investee companies, by providing capital resources, support and highly skilled and talented management teams. Tshono Investment operates in the spheres of mergers and acquisitions and assisting enterprises by applying its financial engineering and strategic insight expertise to such enterprises. Tshono Investment has the following business strategy:o To acquire significant stakes in companies which fall within specific sectors of the economy;o To acquire companies where we can deploy our combined business skills to grow the business;o To acquire companies that have significant growth potential where we can utilize the above skills to lift the growth projectile of the company;o To introduce black operating skills into target companies as co-investor with Tshono Investment.My role includes amongst others, scoping of due diligence and preparation of scoping report, preparation of engagement letter and indicative term sheet, conducting of due diligence, preparation of due diligence report, development of financial models, part of the board in negotiating acquisitions and implementation of transaction/s;

• Responsible for managing increased volume of applicant pipeline. Role included - origination, vetting, and relationship-management.• Supported the post-investment unit in the portfolio management, as needed.• Maintained a robust pipeline of potential investments through proactive sourcing of potential grantees and borrowers.• Regularly speaking with potential applicants and referrals to explain the investment strategy and criteria of the organization• Served as primary, external facing point of contact for qualified applicants, managing up to 40 relationships per year.• Shepherd potential applicants through the due diligence process including: conduct initial conversation, provide feedback on draft applications, conduct reference checks, coordinate final interviews, prepare briefings for investment team, participate in all aspects of vetting, and make investment recommendations.• For loans, analyse financial statements, structure transaction and negotiation of key terms, including term sheets and loan agreements.• Conducted research and compile briefings on prospective grantee/borrower organizations and impact investing partners, and other topics, as needed.

I have been responsible for a variety of financial roles and obligations to include: • Evaluation of new deals from Pre-Investment for potential investment and prepare the early review report or decline within; • Perform desktop financial and commercial assessment and provide recommendations and comments;• Prepare financial models according to the company’s financial modelling methodologies standards models and • Preparing investment reports for review and sign off by the Investment Principal and the Fund Manager before submission and presentation to the relevant investment approval committee;I have worked successfully for a wide range of clients to include small start-ups to multinational corporations. I revel in maximizing financial opportunities and solutions for seemingly impossible financial situations.
