 I was the lead M programmer who wrote the software that interfaces the IFCAP software package, in the VA VistA computer system, to the HL7 VistA software for transmission of purchase request data to the VA Electronic Contract Management System (eCMS) at the VA Austin Automation Center. And for the receipt of HL7 messages from the eCMS system to a VHA facility pertaining to purchase order creation and amendments, and the software to automatically create purchase orders and amendments.

 Worked on the DVA NPI (National Provider Identifier) project that developed the integration software for usage of the NPI as is required by HIPAA. This software was an enhancement to the current released software packages of Integrated Billing, Fee Basis, Pharmacy and the CBO Data extract.
