With more than 25 years of experience in community mental health my focus as a psychotherapist/counselor has been (initially) in geriatric, ageing and end of life issues but more so in working within the HIV/AIDS and long term survivor communities. As the AIDS crisis abated my focus has broadened into the LGBTQI community at large. Licensed in Washington state since 2004 as a Mental Health Counselor I also have a long history as a trainer in group facilitation, training and mentoring of graduate level mental health interns.

Maintained a caseload of 50-60 clients providing psychotherapy, counseling and case management services per the requirements of W.A.C. and King County Mental Health. Co-created and Coordinated a 12 month internship for Master's level Therapists, Counselors and Social Workers providing training, guidance and support throughout their internship.As a Sexual Minority Consultant I would provide clinical consultations with multiple mental health agencies and individual clinicians who work with members of the LGBTQI community.

Greater Seattle Area

Provided individual and group therapy for Adult Day Health patients at Bailey-Boushay House, a skilled nursing facility and day treatment program for people living with and dying from AIDS. Working intimately with a multidisciplinary care team and outside providers to ensure quality of care, dignity and safety as our patients/clients faced end of life or uncertain futures at the height of the AIDS epidemic.
