After leaving school I started as a trainee Drafty 1974 working for S Robinson and Sons Ltd of Derby.During my time there I became a full time Drafty, Surveyor, Contracts Manager, Works Manager, Plater and a Welder.I Left in 1988 and since then I have run my own company.I have been in the business for some 50 years and I have to say I could write a book on some of the mind blowing things I have seen.My working hours have not changed much 7.00 - 6.00 incl Saturdays.I have supplied, fabricated, Designed, erected somewhere around 8,000 buildings of all different sizes and all types all over the country.I've lost load of money through none payment, and Site Men (so they called themselves). I had my workshop burn down, I've lost some good friends through injury.I now have my Son and two Daughters taking the load.We now have a Company that as Been there done that and got the T Shirt.
