- In February, I was promoted from DOC Specialist to a System Engineer.- Record, coordinate responses, and disseminate information regarding IT-related incidents affecting Turner’s sever infrastructure, external websites, third party vendor applications, and software suites. - Utilize monitoring tools to troubleshoot, correct, and prevent incidents with regards to Turner’s IT infrastructure, web servers, db servers, network, and external.- Troubleshoot disk issues, Apache/Tomcat/Nginx problems, database connection failures, hardware problems, and any problems within Turner’s AWS environment. - Engage both in-house, tier-three developers and external vendors as necessary to investigate and resolve incidents as quickly as possible utilizing phone bridges, email chains, internal notifications to stakeholders, and the creation of thorough documentation detailing all aspects of the incident. - Utilize Service Now ticketing system effectively to track and record both service requests and incidents, allowing high level stakeholders to produce quantitative metrics on the Digital Operation Center’s performance and efficiency. - Coordinate with the DOC’s liaisons to notify the brands of potential problems before they result in user impact and to understand root cause for issues resulting in user-impact. - Work with DOC management to interview and train new employees, identify potential workflow problems, and discuss potential improvements to both documentation and processes.
