Sept 2012 – Dec 2012 Stamp Farms & Affiliates Northstar Grain, LLC Decatur, MIConsultantCFOInterim CFO after owner signed management rights to a third party restructuring outfit O’Keefe and Associates.Whistleblower on a $35,000,000 bank fraudReceived a call on September 14th from Mike Stamp to come up and help provide consulting work to Stamp Farms as to reconcile accounts, prepare financial statements and provide borrowing base calculations for Wells Fargo and the independent accounting firm hired to conduct a review of the balance sheet and income statement.Accepted a CFO position shortly after arriving only to uncover 35 million in fraudulent activity less than two weeks later. Not all $35,000,000 was found at once as it took over a month to find most of what was fraudulently reported Faux receivables, missing inventory, double financed irrigation equipment, non-existent leases, crop insurance, money laundering and other items were inclusive in the fraud.Pulled myself and the lawyers out on Saturday November 3rd, 2012, the owner signed over rights on November 6th, hired by Okeefe and Associates on November 9th to take the company into bankruptcy and to perform interim CFO duties.Assisted with the compilation and filing of the bankruptcy forms, filed for bankruptcy on November 30th.Stayed on through December and parted ways to provide due diligence on a feed mill in Michigan for a private equity group.
