I represented and counseled individual and corporate clients in connection with complex high-stakes civil litigation, including securities class actions, contract disputes, and shareholder demands. I drafted motions, briefs, and discovery requests such as motions to dismiss, motions for attorney’s fees, response briefs, requests for production, and interrogatories. I was a member of a trial team for a books-and-records trial in the Delaware Court of Chancery for a Fortune 500 client. I prepared outlines and developed strategy for depositions of class-action plaintiffs and defense of deposition of a client in connection with books-and-records litigation. Additionally, I reviewed and analyzed SEC filings, such as Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and many others. I investigated complaints of discrimination submitted by unions in foreign countries that have free trade agreements ("FTA") with the United States and researched foreign labor laws and conducted legal analysis of countries’ labor laws in relation to worldwide labor standards (e.g. Peru’s freedom of association and right to strike labor laws). Additionally, I drafted monitoring reports and memorandums on FTA countries, such as Nicaragua and Bahrain, and translated foreign labor codes from Spanish to English.
