Responsible for all commercial activities (supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and technical reviews)•Develop and maintain benchmarking cost and TCO data for use in comparison of AAM current and future costs•Keep abreast of industry developments within all manufacturing groupings (assembly, machining, forging, etc.) to be applied to all future sourcing/quoting decisions•Understand world-class suppliers and markets for competitiveness and global presence/capabilities•Conduct technical and financial analysis of supplier quotations to ensure accuracy and completeness•Understand manufacturing requirements to ensure compliance by supply base and consistency with AAM standards and procedures•Ensure all proposals are quoted / issued on contract following sourcing guidelines•Technical reviews, Scope Compliance, Systems Compliance, Cost detail analysis, etc.•Issue Purchase Order Contracts•Tracking of Program launches against contracts issued•Complete commercial responsibility and resolution from request for quote through equipment / program launch•Proposal evaluation for ensurance of suppliers’ complete and like manufacturing solutions•Ensure 4-Squares are developed and tracked according to program timing•Ensure International offices are informed and are supporting the applicable programs•Review and ensure timely closure of all Program review open items•Ensure AAM Manufacturing Engineering is in concurrence with all sourcing decisions•Establish long term supply strategies by commodity / supplier•Responsible for the maintenance of procurement records such as payment terms, price discrepancy, product delivery, quality and performance•Discuss deficient or unacceptable performance with engineers, users, suppliers and others to determine source of trouble and support corrective action•Analyze and communicate supplier performance through metrics, data and reports•Maintain purchase price and manufacturing price trends and analysis
