With over eight years of legal experience, I am a passionate and skilled criminal law expert who represents the State of Louisiana in all phases of criminal prosecution. I have extensive experience in handling trial-level motions practice, direct criminal appeals, post-conviction claims, capital post-conviction claims, criminal writ applications, federal habeas claims, and federal appellate cases. I also defend against constitutional challenges, assist in representation of the Committee on Parole and Board of Pardons, and provide legislative analysis and guidance on all criminal legislation. I am proud to serve the public interest and uphold the rule of law as an Assistant Attorney General at the Louisiana Department of Justice.In addition, I represent the State of Louisiana in wrongful conviction compensation claims and serve on several legislative boards and commissions related to criminal justice issues. I also leverage my prior experience in the Civil Rights Section, where I represented the State of Louisiana in litigation related to constitutional claims, employment, discrimination, prisoner litigation, and related miscellaneous issues. I use my experience and skills to prepare and present documents, reports, and arguments in a clear and persuasive manner.
