Working as part of a small team that manage the Brook Farm site. I had between 4-10 employees under my direct control. So I was required to make sure that all tasks were completed on time and to a high level. To make sure that health and safety aspects were up to date and significant. I also had the responsibility to train any new members of my team. I was tasked with recruitment. Other major aspects of my work included dealing with all aspects of the welfare of the animals within our care including re-homing. Although no professional training has been given I was the on-site veterinary nurse for any vets doing work on our site. I have assisted with the construction and maintenance of the site that has included use of all power tools, e.g. jigsaw, saw-bench, cement mixer, angle grinders, welding and plasma cutting. The farm has many different aspects to take care of and a large part of my role is to be of assistance wherever and whenever needed. This means that each day is different and can bring a variety of challenges. I deal with the public and help with questions regarding re-homing and fund-raising. I have experience of driving tractors, diggers and horse boxes.

I was working as part of the front of house staff of a busy pub/restaurant. Many aspects of my job included setting up till for the working day, re-stocking all the shelves, making sure bar and lounge area were clean and tidy, changing barrels, pulling pints, mixing drinks, dealing with a wide variety of wines, taking orders, running up receipts, greeting customers and making sure everyone left with a smile. I would often be required to run the bar single handed, as well as within a team. I was also tasked with training and supervising any new bartenders that were recruited.
