I am currently serving as a Value Stream Leader focusing on emerging technologies for airline operations which build value for existing Collins content or creating new opportunities for the industry. My initial focus is integrating new capabilities like LPV (Localizer Performance with Vertical guidance) and other Traffic Applications such as CAVS (CDTI Assisted Vertical Separation), SURF, FIM, and other related technologies within Collins Aerospace Aftermarket. My previous experience as an airline pilot and account management provides me a unique and valuable perspective on emerging industry needs useful to our customers and future product development within Collins.Previously I served as and Account Manager and Business Development Manager where I maintained and advanced customer relationships through managing existing business opportunities while helping advance new and emerging products and technology available within the Collins Aerospace avionics suite. I had the unique position of helping customers increase overall efficiencies of both people and aircraft. I developed and executed program capture strategies for new business opportunities for aircraft data collection and connectivity solutions. Other responsibilities included reviewing strategic decisions with senior management, acquiring knowledge of market and competitors, and developing competitive strategy for commercial aircraft operators.Prior to Collins my experience includes six years in 121 airline flight crew training programs where I conducted training of recurrent and initial pilots for both the Airbus 320/319 and Boeing 757/767. In addition to training students, I successfully completed several projects within the training department to include: Developing and refining training material, mentoring new instructors, evaluating new instructors and students. Two years experience as a Manager of Flight Procedures at Northwest Airlines for the Boeing 757. Responsibilities included creating flight procedures and maintaining current fleet manuals. Coordination within company departments daily, acting as a technical expert on systems and procedures related to the Boeing 757. I fostered relationships with outside groups such as FAA and Boeing.I have accumulated over 6600 hours of flight time while flying for several major and regional airlines. Type ratings on DHC-8, EMB-170/190, A320/319, and Boeing 757/767.Specialties: Training, public speaking, project management, customer support and piloting transport aircraft.
