As a Senior Registration Officer, I am required to negotiate data extracts with specialist database units, in order to improve on data quality, completeness and timeliness for relevant cancer sites. Created new and updated existing patient/cancer records. Ensured patient and tumour matching is accurate and where required use the multiple computer and internet based tracking software (the National Strategic Tracing Service (NSTS), Quick Address Software (QAS), Summary Care Record (SCR) and the deaths database), to improve the quality and completeness of patient demographic and death details extracting and updating existing records.Analysed data in the Encore database, extracted, updated and reported findings back to source through written and verbal communication.Processed data within agreed specified targets according to the data processing schedule while having an error rate of less than 2%.Responsible for the formatting, preparation and updates of the National Cancer Information Centre (NCIC) errors to ensure national targets are achieved. As a result of the NCIC errors, Identifed improvements and recommended system changes to Assistant Registry Manager in order to reduce future errors.Assisted in the structured induction training and development programmes for registration staff and other staff within the Oxford office.Identified and offered solutions to technical issues raised with respect to the Encore registration database and supported the testing of all new releases of the system.
