Lead a team of 9 working on experimental quantum information. Demonstrated ability to win research grants ($3.5 million in 3 years). Quantum and classical behavior of strongly driven nonlinear systems influenced by noise. Noisy dynamics of driven systems near bifurcation. Correlations and statistics of quantum fields.

During a sabbatical year, lead development of computational tools for mutiple biomedical applications including clinical diagnostics and proteomics. Devolping algorithms for signal processing and automated detection/discrimination. Developing graphical user interface and low-noise electronics.

Worked with Prof. Per Delsing on superconducting nanocircuits for quantum information processing. Developed multilayer nanolithography process using 100 kV electron-beam lithography system. Developed novel readout methods for quantum bits using microwave techniques. Work includes device design, device fabrication, electromagnetic modeling in the microwave (GHz) regime, constructing microwave test systems.

Worked with Prof. Michel Devoret on superconducting nanocircuits for quantum information processing. Established a multilayer nanolithography process using a newly acquired electron microscope, electron-beam evaporator, and PECVD machine, including integration of microfabricated microwave components with superconducting circuits. Worked with Prof. Daniel Prober developing single photon imaging spectrometers using superconducting tunnel junctions (STJ) in collaboration with NASA.
