The Manager Training & Competency provides high level advice to the operations division and forms part of the Generation Leadership Team for the purposes of ensuring training and competency is effectively managed. As the Training and Development Manager I was accountable for the effective delivery of training and development activities for Stanwell. This included the successful implementation of a corporate training & development framework and operational system to meet AS/NZS ISO 9001. Conducted system health checks to ensure procedural compliance and identified improvement opportunities via industry best practice benchmarking and internal audit.Established partnerships with service providers to meet training and development business needs. Developed and implemented strategies to address and combat skills shortages via entry level development programs and liaison with internal and external parties (graduates, apprentice’s trainees etc). Provided leadership and the development of seven team members located at Rockhampton and Brisbane locations. Managed Health and Wellbeing Programs including Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and ‘Stanwell – being’ program.
