During my time with the City of Issaquah, I worked my way up from an Intern and Permit Clerk to Project Oversight Manger in the Development Services Department over 29 years. Recently, I held an interim position as Economic Development Manager in the City's Economic Development Department before returning to my position as Permit Center Manager in January 2020. I spent most of my time in Issaquah as an Urban Planner. In addition to proving my worth and value to the organization over this time, I have continued to refine and focus on the aspects of community service that I am passionate about.In August 2020, I accepted the position of Permit Supervisor for the City of Lynnwood Development and Business Services. My strengths include communication, leadership, and customer service, while placing a high value on building long-term relationships. I developed my collaborative and adaptive leadership skills through trainings like Leadership Eastside and the LEAD program at the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia. I also possess a Bachelor’s Degree, with a focus on Urban Planning and the Sociology of Cities from The Evergreen State College. I have studied, practiced, taught and am particularly passionate about promoting the principals of High Performance Organization (HPO) and Lean (Process Improvement).
