I am a hard-working and focused individual who always has a drive for improvement. I leverage my technical skills from my undergrad in Data Science with business acumen learned at UCLA Anderson to provide meaningful analysis and give key insight into business problems using data. I started my path in analytics as part of the first cohort of data science majors at UCSD. This was a risk, as the program's classes were being taught for the first time. However, I think it was one of the best choices I could have made. Due to limited resources from this being the first iteration of the program, the professors showed immense dedication often teaching 3-4 classes simultaneously. These were some of the most passionate and impactful professors of my entire education experience, and their drive made me into the person I am today. I learned to be adaptive to change, communicate well with professors, and to always keep an open mind. This skills were necessary as the program was changing rapidly based on feedback, with the students and the professors working in tandem to make the program as best it could be. Apart from those skills, I also learned across multiple disciplines, including Calculus, Statistics, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, and Biology. Each discipline equipped me with different approaches to problems, and when combined with an open mind leaves no problem unsolvable. My senior year of undergrad, I realized the data about people posed the most fascinating problems, especially data about how people use their free time, as it's the most valuable resource. This led me to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, as it checked all my boxes quite aptly. I am currently furthering my education at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, as I think the business knowledge they provide is unrivaled, particularly concerning the entertainment industry. My goal is to learn the necessary business industry knowledge to think like a stakeholder, in order to provide analysis on extremely relevant data and in a way that they understand best. I hope to continue understanding the world through data while learning new things every day.
