Serving as a 3rd Officer with Seabourn Cruises onboard the Seabourn Ovation. -Sailed through Norwegian Fjords, Mediterranean, North Sea, and UK isles during previous contract.-Assigned to arrival and departure shift so was involved in pre-arrival procedures and pre-departure procedures for majority of contract. Was Co-Navigator for multiple arrivals and departures into port and anchorage as well as in charge of mooring stations.-Assisted senior officer in all firefighting tasks with weekly, monthly and semi-annual inspections of all firefighting equipment onboard. -Assisted senior officer in navigation tasks such as Voyage Overview Meetings, tides, currents, radio procedures.-Was part of the first Seabourn Officer Familiarization Training Program.

•Served as 2nd and 3rd Officer in-charge of a watch onboard the Self Unloading Bulk Carrier M/V Radcliffe R. Latimer and the Bulk Carrier M/V Algoma Strongfield operating on the Great Lakes from Thunder Bay, Canada to Halifax, Canada•In-charge of voyage planning, which includes speed restrictions in the St. Lawrence Seaway, pilotage arrangements, dock diagrams, ECDIS routes•In-charge of all bridge equipment and maintence including ECDIS, radar, navigation lights, chart and publication corrections, magnetic compass•In-charge of the loading and unloading cargo from holds using discharging boom and controlling ballast operations•Piloted Detroit River and St. Clair River and assisted in pilotage through St. Lawrence Seaway and St. Mary River•In-charge of all fire and life-saving equipment inspections and maintenance

•Sailed on board the Bulk Carrier M/V Algoma Harvester, M/V Algoma Discovery and Self-Unloading Bulk Carrier M/V Capt. Henry Jackman operating on the Great Lakes from Superior, Wisconsin, Chicago, Illinois and Quebec City, Quebec •Assisted in the loading and discharging of cargo, spotting cargo for the officer in the holds, controlling ballast operations and cleaning of the holds•Steered through Detroit and St. Clair River during daylight and nighttime, created routes on the ECDIS to be used for navigation, used VHF radio for departures, call-in points•Operated winch controls for departures, arrivals and shifting of the vessel while loading or unloading•Completed safety checklists, deck log entries, fire suit inspections and steering tests•Completed chart corrections, compass errors log book
